ILLUMINATED DOOR ASSEMBLY FOR AN ELECTRICAL OUTLET COVER

An illuminated door assembly which includes a main panel with an opening therein for alignment with the electrical receptacle of an electrical outlet. The opening is big enough to permit access to the receptacle enabling the plugging of an electrical cord into the receptacle. A door panel is hingedly connected to the main panel for rotation between closed and open positions. A light source is carried by the main panel. The main and door panels include transparent areas, through which light emitted by the light source is transmitted. Electrical prongs are pivotally connected to the main panel for rotation between retracted and extended positions. The prongs are operatively connected to the light source for providing electrical power to the light source when the prongs are plugged into the receptacle.
