PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain impartiality in the traffic of each link while suppressing the frequency of wavelength change in a variable wavelength WDM/TDM-PON.SOLUTION: A load distribution method for an optical communication system, having a plurality of links set in parallel to connect a subscriber-side device to an upper-level network includes: a traffic load calculation procedure for calculating a traffic load for each link; and an accommodation link movement procedure for determining a first link having a maximum traffic load and a second link having a minimum traffic load among the plurality of links, and for moving traffic generated through communication with a subscriber-side device, having a predetermined amount of traffic load, among the traffic of the first link, to a second link. |
