The thrust plate conveyor has a number of drivers (1) movable over a floor surface and which are spaced apart in such a way that an intermediate space is provided in each case between two adjacent drivers. An additional feed element is provided in the intermediate space and is movable between a feed position and return position. A flap (3) spring-loaded in the return position is provided on the drivers and is movable between a flat lying return position and relatively steeper erect feed position.
