PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hash value calculation apparatus wherein pipeline processing of hash processing can be carried out for a plurality of data. SOLUTION: The processing to calculate the hash value from inputted data is divided into p pieces of processing, and the hash value calculation apparatus 100 is provided with a first to a p-th processing sections for successively performing processing divided respectively. The data for calculating the hash value are inputted into the first processing section, which processes the data and outputs the result of processing as a first process data. The first process data outputted by the first processing section are inputted into the second processing section, which processes the data and outputs the result of processing as a second process data. In the same way, the (i-1)th process data outputted by an (i-1)th processing section are inputted into the i-th processing section, which processes the data and outputs the result of processing as an i-th process data. The (p-1)th process data outputted by the (p-1)th processing section are inputted into the p-th processing section.
