PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely obtain grip force f<SB>G</SB>, irrespective of the inertia force based on the mass m<SB>2</SB>of a member, existing at a load detection part 27 closer to the side of a road surface 26. SOLUTION: The apparatus calculates the force F expressed by F=(m<SB>2</SB>x<SB>U</SB>")+f<SB>G</SB>, on the basis of a detection signal of the load detection part 27 and is constituted so that the grip force f<SB>G</SB>can be precisely obtained, by subtracting from the force F the product (m<SB>2</SB>x<SB>U</SB>") of an already known mass m<SB>2</SB>of the member, existing from the load detection part 27 to the side of the road surface 26 and the acceleration x<SB>U</SB>" of the member obtained from a signal of an acceleration sensor or the like.
