<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device capable of reducing damage by friction to a bent part at folding of an air bag contacted with a retainer inner wall in which friction of an airbag storage cloth existing on the retainer inner wall and the airbag is not generated relative to the retainer inner wall since a protection cloth is interposed in the state that friction is not generated on the protection cloth and an airbag body base cloth. <P>SOLUTION: In the airbag device for the front passenger seat, the folded airbag 1 is stored in the retainer 3 and the airbag 1 is deployed between an occupant and a vehicle body by filling a gas in the airbag 1 at collision. The protection cloth 2 is clamped between the mutually folded parts of the folded airbag 1 and the protection cloth 2 is interposed between the airbag storage cloth 4 existing on the inner wall of the retainer and an outer surface of the airbag 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
