Improved composed jamb for windows, doors or the like, characterised in that an insulation jamb is connected with a longitudinal edge to a metal jamb by means of an insert socket with a female coupling element and a male coupling element which are pushed into one another during the assembly of the composed jamb and in that these coupling elements are glued together, characterised in that the male coupling element is held in the female coupling element in order to make sure that, during the assembly of the composed jamb, the coupling elements are kept in place while the glue is setting thanks to direct friction or clamping.
