PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of obtaining an excellent light receiving state even when an operation signal is transmitted obliquely. SOLUTION: The projector includes a light receiving device 10 for light-receiving the operation signal, and an outer casing for storing the light receiving device 10. A light receiving opening part 232 is formed on a corner part where a front part 233 and an upper face part 211 of the outer casing intersect each other. The light receiving device 10 is provided in the light receiving opening part 232. A light receiving direction B is a direction directing to the outside of the outer casing 2 through the light receiving opening part 232 by being inclined to the front part 233 and the upper face part 211 formed by the light receiving opening part 232.
