PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter for short-distance photographing used for an underwater case for a camera, which never causes the shadow of the lens covering cylindrical part of the underwater case for the camera in a subject, when the short-distance photographing under water is performed and is suitable for the short-distance photographing. SOLUTION: The adapter 1 for the short-distance photographing used for the underwater case 21 for the camera, which is provided with the lens covering cylindrical part 23 covering the lens part 32 of the camera 31 with a built-in strobe 33, in a light transmissible state with respect to an objective lens and a strobe light transmission window 24 and covers the whole circumference of the built-in camera 31 is provided with: an attachment part 2 detachably attached to the circumference of the lens covering cylindrical part 23; a reflection part 6 which is continuous to the attachment part 2 and arranged to face the light irradiation area of the built-in strobe 33 and reflects light from the built-in strobe 33; and a diffusion part 9 which diffuses the light from the built-in strobe 33 and the light reflected from the reflection part 6, to radiate the light to the front of the lens covering cylindrical part 23. The adapter 1 for the short-distance photographing is integrally provided with a strobe light radiating part 5 surrounding both sides of the reflection part 6 and the diffusion part 9 by a pair of side plate parts 10.
