<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector, or the like capable of projecting an image with an aspect ratio according to a situation. <P>SOLUTION: A projector 100 includes a projection section 190 for projecting a calibration image toward an object to be projected via a projection panel; a shape determination section 130 for determining the shape of the object to be projected, on the basis of a picked up information from an imaging section 110; a correction target region setting section 140 for setting a correction target region; an aspect ratio operation section 170 for calculating the aspect ratio of the correction target region; a determination section 172 for determining whether a value indicating the difference between the aspect ratio in the correction target region and a reference aspect ratio satisfies the condition; and an image generation section 150 for generating the image in the shape of the correction target region on the projection panel, when the setting conditions are met or generating the image having the reference aspect ratio on the projection panel, when the setting conditions are not met. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
