PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for remodeling an existing vibration stop structure to a structure exhibiting stable plastic deformation and energy absorption performance in an earthquake.SOLUTION: A prevention stop element 30 includes: a web 11 vertically provided to a base part 5; a pair of flanges 33a, 33b provided at both ends of the web 11; auxiliary rigid plates 34a, 34b provided on the front surface and back surface of the web 11, and bridged between the pair of flanges 33a, 33b. A constraint part 37 is provided at the roots of the flanges 33a, 33b. The constraint part 37 is provided on the front surface side and back surface side of the respective flanges 33a, 33b so as to avoid a portion corresponding to a web 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
