The invention relates to compounds with at least one fluorinated C-C double bond between two rings, to the use thereof for high-frequency components, to liquid crystal media containing the compounds, and to high-frequency components containing said media, in particular antennas, especially for the gigahertz range. The liquid crystal media are used for example for phase-shifting microwaves for tunable phased-array antennas.
