A sensor insertion device and a sensor insertion device set according to the present invention include: a housing; a needle member that has a needle part, and is capable of moving inside the housing in the inserting and removing directions thereof; a first biasing member that biases the needle member in the inserting direction, and moves the needle member to a first position where the needle part can be inserted into a living body; a second biasing member that biases the needle member in the removing direction, and moves the needle member to a second position where the needle part that has reached the first position can be removed from the living body; and a switching mechanism that, when the needle member has reached the first position, is capable of selectively switching from moving the needle member by the biasing force of the first biasing member to moving the needle member by the biasing force of the second biasing member. |
