The invention relates to a piercing article (1) comprising a longitudinal insertion member (2) in the form of a pin. The inventive piercing article (1 ) is mainly composed of an alkylene-fluoroalkylene polymer material, especiall y an ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) material. The invention further relat es to an intermediary product for the manufacturing of said piercing article (1 ). Said intermediary product comprises an elongated member in the form of a wir e or rod made of an alkylene-fluoroalkylene copolymer material, especially an EFTE material.
