LIGHT GUIDE PLATE, BACKLIGHT UNIT AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate or a backlight unit for decreasing brightness unevenness on a light guide plate by the light emitting from a light source and for making thinner.

SOLUTION: The light guide plate 2 has a protruding portion 12 by extending a part of the light entering surface as a side face of the light guide plate 2 in the light entering direction. A wiring pattern 8 to connect to electronic parts is fabricated by a photoetching method or the like on the protruding portion 12. The wiring pattern 8 thus fabricated is directly connected to the light source 8. A flexible wiring board 3 to connect to other electronic parts as a voltage supply is directly connected to the wiring pattern.
