METHOD FOR MAKING AN ELECTRONIC DRAFT OF A SHIP

A method for making an electronic ship drawing for building a ship in a dockyard is provided to reduce time/material resources needed for processing a 3D(Dimensional) ship drawing into a 2D(Dimensional) ship drawing by transmitting a 3D modeled electro ship drawing to a portable electronic device of a worker without any modification. A 3D ship building electronic drawing produced through a GSCAD(Global Shipbuilding CAD(Computer Aided Design)) tool is stored to an ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) equipped with a data for storing various kinds of drawings for building a ship(S304). The electronic 3D drawing stored in an ERP system is transmitted to a portable electronic device of a worker(S306). The worker checks the drawing in 3D by searching 3D drawing data stored in the ERP system and downloading the drawing data needed for work to the portable electronic device such as a PDA(Personal Digital Assistance)(S308).
