The nut (10) has a threaded hole (13), and a body (11) comprising a contact surface (14) enclosing the threaded hole for a ring (15) that serves as a securing device. The ring is made up of plastic, such as polyamide. The ring is securely fixed on the nut by the application of zinc flake coatings. The contact surface is surrounded by a circumferential flared flange (16). The contact surface and/or an inner wall of the flared flange include four, six or eight elevations and/or slots (19). The elevations and/or slots are in the form of hemisphere, dome, pyramid, rectangle and/or roof-edge.
