PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which restrains an influence given to the width of a frame of a front cover to fix a liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: Plate-like slide mounting hardware 3b is engaged with a front cover 1 to fix a liquid crystal panel 2 with the panel contact part 31 of the slide mounting hardware 3b, and a back cover 5 is fixed to a tap hole 33 with a screw 33A. Consequently, a fixing boss for mounting the back cover 5 is not required to the front cover 1, and a width b, which is obtained by subtracting the overlapping part of the liquid crystal panel 2 from the width of a frame part, is made smaller to make the width of the frame of the front cover 1 narrower.
