The present invention relates to a novel Bifidobacterium longum ssp. infantis BI9988 strain or a culture medium thereof, having: excellent acid resistance and biliary resistance; no risk of the metastasis of antibiotic resistance; and excellent adhesion ability to intestinal cells, immunity increase ability (microphage activity), foodborne pathogen inhibition ability, cholesterol digestion ability, etc. Accordingly, the Bifidobacterium longum ssp. infantis BI9988 strain or the culture medium thereof can be used as a health functional additive for various products, such as probiotics or probiotic formulation enhancing defecation activities and intestinal health state, fermented milk products, health supplement food, feed additives, medicines, cosmetic products, etc. |
