PURPOSE: A microwave oven is provided to prevent metallic wire from being entered into a cooking chamber, and reduce manufacturing cost and manufacturing procedures. CONSTITUTION: A microwave oven comprises a cooking chamber and a component chamber which are juxtaposed and communicated to each other through a communicating hole, and an air guide(20) for guiding toward the communicating hole the air which is flowed into an air inlet hole formed at a rear wall of the component chamber and blown by a blower fan. The air guide has at an inner wall surface thereof facing toward the air inlet hole a wire end stopper portion(25) for preventing a front end portion of the wire inserted via the air inlet hole from being pushed toward the communicating hole. The wire end stopper portion is a stopper rib protruded from an inner wall of the air guide. Thus, the wire inserted into the air guide gets caught by the wire end stopper portion, to thereby prevent the wire from being entered into the cooking chamber through the communicating hole.
