PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify molding, to reduce the weight, and to keep stable fitting state and sealing. SOLUTION: This weather strip 4 is provided with a trim part 5, a base part 6 and a sealing part 7, fitted extending over the whole periphery of a door opening peripheral edge of a door for an automobile including at least the corner part, and basically formed by extrusion molding. The trim part 5 is formed of EPDM solid rubber having no insert inside thereof, and held on a flange 8 of the body. At least a part of the base part 6 is fitted to the flange 8 through a pressure sensitive adhesive double coated tape 17, and a region of the base part 6 corresponding to the pressure sensitive adhesive double coated tape 17 is formed of EPDM sponge rubber which is the same material as that of the sealing part 7. Accordingly, at the corner part, the part formed of sponge rubber is easily elongated and easily deformed according to the curved shape, and in deformation, the stress is relatively small. |
