PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microlens system in which the optical axes of microlens can be precisely aligned and subsequent optical axis misalignment can be properly dealt with. SOLUTION: The microlens system 10 is constituted by arranging two plano- convex microlenses 11 and 12 having their convex surfaces facing each other. The plano-convex lenses 11 and 12 have lens surfaces 11a and 12a for passing luminous flux at their central parts and also have flanges 11b and 12b as bases for fitting at their peripheries. An actuator 13 which moves both microlenses relatively in parallel along the optical axis is provided between the flanges 11b and 12b. For adjustment, an area sensor is arranged on an image plane and while its output is monitored, the actuator 13 is actuated to displace the microlenses 11 and 12 relatively along the optical axis and adjust the interval so that a spot diameter becomes minimum. |
