PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cementite compound having a reduced Curie point by modifying cementite Fe3 C and more favorable as an implant material and a safe and easy thermotherapy using the implant material. SOLUTION: This cementite compound for the implant material having a structure represented by the formula (Fe1-x Mx )3 C (wherein, M is one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of O, H, N, Na, K, Ca, Mg, Cr, Mn, Mo, V and Ti; 0<x<=0.1) and further a lower Curie point than 210 deg.C Curie point of the cementite Fe3 C is embedded in a necessary site in a body and a high-frequency magnetic field is applied thereto to generate heat. The cementite compound is produced by formulating an Fe powder with a C powder and a powder of a third ingredient M, carrying out a mechanical alloying treatment, thereby providing a densely mixed alloy precursor and subsequently conducting heat treatment thereto. |
