PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insert/detach forks into/from arbitrary positions of finger bars and prevent rattling of the forks, in a fork mounting device for suspending the forks applied to a cargo vehicle such as a forklift. SOLUTION: This fork mounting device comprises a lift bracket 2, the forks 3, an upper finger bar 4, a lower finger bar 5 and lifting/lowering operation means 6. In particular, the fork mounding device is provided with the lifting/lowering operation means 6 supporting the lower finger bar 5 so as to be lifted/lowered with respect to the upper finger bar 4 and capable of having an engagement position where both hooks 7, 8 of the forks 3 are engaged with the both finger bars 4, 5 and an opening position where the both hooks 7, 8 of the forks 3 are separated from the both finger bars 4, 5.
