PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make printing paper refilling work to a paper feeding portion of a folding device efficient. SOLUTION: An assisting device 1 is disposed to be adjacent to the paper feeding portion of the folding device 50. The assisting device 1 has a vertical supporting portion 2, a ascending/descending portion 4 ascending/descending along the vertical supporting portion 2, and a horizontal supporting portion 3 supporting the vertical supporting portion 2 and the whole of the ascending/descending portion 4. The lowest end positions of pallet supporting plates 12, 12b of the ascending/descending portion 4 is an installing surface of the device, so that the printing paper for refilling can be carried in to the device by a hand pallet truck. The ascending/descending portion 4 is properly raised same as a conventional lifter, thereby carrying out refilling of the printing paper to the paper feeding portion of the folding device 50 as an operator wants.
