PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravity type tiltable-die casting apparatus which has a simple structure, and can be easily installed and maintained, and can be manufactured at a low cost. SOLUTION: When an elongtable member is advanced by a driving apparatus, a lower metallic die and an upper metallic die are fastened by the lift of a lower die plate pivotably attached to the elongtable member. After the lower die plate has been lifted up to the lifted position, a swingable frame is swiveled about a horizontal rotary axis up to a tilting position by the advance of the elongtable member. Then, molten metal is supplied at the tilting position to a pouring basin provided so as to correspond to the fastened metallic dies. When the elongtable member has receded, the swingable frame is swiveled toward an upright position by gravitational force applied to the gravitation center, and the molten metal is poured into the metallic dies from the pouring basin. The swingable frame is stationary at a cooling position until the molten metal in the metallic dies is cooled. After the molten metal has been cooled, the elongtable member is further receded. After the swingable frame has come into contact with a stopper member and has been positioned in the upright position, the lower die plate is lowered to a lowered position with respect to the swingable frame.
