<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual sense recovery aid capable of efficiently measuring pH and electrically stimulating cells constituting a retina without increasing a burden on a patient. <P>SOLUTION: The visual sense recovery aid for recovering the visual sense of the patient comprises a substrate set on an eye of the patient, a stimulus electrode mounted on the substrate for electrically stimulating the cells which constitute the retina, a pH measuring electrode mounted on the substrate for measuring pH in the periphery of the stimulus electrode, a reference electrode, and a pH measuring means for measuring pH in the periphery of the stimulus electrode based on the potential difference between the reference electrode and the pH measuring electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
