<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device and method of manufacturing the same that achieves not only the sufficient electric insulation but also the low cost by means of the simplified manufacturing process. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting device includes a plurality of straight wiring patterns disposed parallel to each other on an insulating substrate, a plurality of light emitting elements electrically disposed and connected between the wiring patterns, and a light emitting portion sealed by a seal. The method of manufacturing the light emitting device includes the steps of forming the wiring patterns on the insulating substrate, disposing the light emitting elements between the wiring patterns, electrically connecting the light-emitting elements to the wiring patterns, disposing a silicon rubber sheet with a throughhole on the insulating substrate, and forming the seal to seal the light emitting element in the throughhole of the silicon rubber sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
