PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aliphatic amine alkylene oxide adduct that has a molecular weight distribution sharp enough to be used as a detergent, has high purity and is lowly odorous. SOLUTION: The aliphatic amine alkylene oxide adduct is represented by general chemical formula (1) and has a molecular weight distribution satisfying the following expression (1) or (2) in terms of a polyethylene glycol calibration curve as measured by the gel permeation chromatograph (GPC) measurement using dimethylformamide (DMF) as an eluent. Mw/Mn≤0.05×ln(m+n+2)+0.975 (1) (provided that 1≤m+n≤10). Mw/Mn≤1.10 (2) (provided that 10<m+n≤60). In formula (1), R<SP>1</SP>is a 4-24C saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group; A<SP>1</SP>and A<SP>2</SP>are each ethylene and/or propylene; and m and n are each an integer and m+n≥1.
