The present invention belongs to the technical field of multimedia terminals. Provided are a method for inserting an advertisement according to the remaining length of continuous playback content, and a playback device. The method comprises: inspecting whether a command of a user requesting continuous playback is received; if not, inserting an advertisement and playing back from the beginning; if so, determining a remaining length, and inserting an advertisement having a corresponding length according to different remaining lengths. Via the present method, a system flexibly alters an advertisement insertion time according to a user viewing remaining time, thereby taking into account both the interests of a content provider and the goal of improving the user experience. |
