PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a delay in a timing to complete lifting vehicular hood when a crash protection object comes running out from a dead angle.SOLUTION: A vehicular pop-up hood device 10A includes a first front ACT 36 for lifting the hood at the vehicle front side by the driving force of a motor and a second front ACT 38 for lifting the hood at the vehicle front side at a lifting speed higher than the first front ACT 36. If a dead angle area of a pre-crash prediction part including a pre-crash control ECU 14A is detected by a dead angle detection ECU 16, a crash detection threshold value is changed to a second threshold value th2 that is the threshold value when a dead angle exists and that is smaller than the first threshold value th1 that is the threshold value for a normal time. If an effective mass M calculated on an assumption that the vehicle is crashed to an object exceeds the second threshold value th2, a lifting of the hood at the vehicle front side is to be completed fast by lifting the hood at the vehicle front side by the second front ACT 38.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
