PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that has a moving member driven by a mechanism having backlash and can reduce noise during the driving of the moving member.SOLUTION: An imaging device has: a driving mechanism for driving a moving member in a direction different from the optical axis of an imaging optical system, the moving member being at least one of an optical element serving as at least a part of the imaging optical system and an image sensor for picking up a subject image formed by the imaging optical system; and a driving controller for controlling the driving of the moving member through the driving mechanism. The driving mechanism comprises an electromagnetic driving mechanism comprising a winding coil and a permanent magnet which are disposed to confront each other in the front-and-rear direction of the optical axis and drive the moving member in a direction different from the optical axis. The driving controller drives the moving member through the driving mechanism while the geometrical centers of the winding coil and the permanent magnet when viewed in the optical axis direction are displaced from each other in the gravitational direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18 |
