PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothbrush that needs almost no depletion of strength and that makes complete polishing of teeth possible, while there is a need for conserving energy by eliminating wastefulness of resources and for attaining ecology as much as possible, and while the shape and workability of a conventional toothbrush that is unable to clean all over the teeth is too inexpedient.SOLUTION: The entire toothbrush is a palm size, with the handle made so short as the fingers can hold. The polishing motion is such that, without using a tooth polish or water, the handle is lightly picked mostly with the fingertips of the thumb, index finger and the middle finger, that the back of the handle is placed on the palm, with the bristles of the brush part pointed at the target teeth to be polished, and that the handle is then gently moved for pushing, withdrawing, scooping, or turning, pleasantly and positively with the sense of polishing with fingers. Thus, the brushing can be cleanly done without using a tooth polish or water, which is simple and economical as well as suitable for energy conservation and ecology. The toothbrush is suited for low-cost mass production. A toothbrush base may be made with lacquer coating using wood, bamboo, etc., as the material, or as a superb article of mother-of-pearl work or of engraving, so that it is pleasantly and excellently produced as an object of a traditional craftwork based on a unique living and culture.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
