An Ireland kitchen table-type air purifying device according to the present invention comprises: an Ireland kitchen table installed on a floor surface of a kitchen, and having an upper panel; a plant growing lighting installed on a central lower surface of the upper panel; a plant growing table disposed in a lower side of the upper panel, and having one or more plants put thereon; a piezoelectric sensor installed on a sitting panel of a chair disposed in front of the Ireland kitchen table; and a gas sensor disposed on the surface of the Ireland kitchen table. At least one among Boston fern, mini-cypress Monterey, Epipremnum aureus, tiny ardisia, fatsia, and rosemary, which emits phytoncide and anions to purify air and has an excellent deodorizing effect, is grown on the plant growing table. Thus, according to an Ireland kitchen table-type air purifying device and a method for operating the same of an embodiment of the present invention, when it is sensed that a user in a kitchen is sitting on a table, a mood lighting disposed on the surface of the table is turned on. When the user leaves the kitchen, the mood lighting is turned off. Also, through a music playing speaker, music stored in a cellular phone of a user is played, or white noise which is helpful in growing a plant is played. |
