Disclosed are a device for controlling a vehicle, which can improve straightness of a vehicle and efficiency of braking power, and a control method thereof. The device for controlling a vehicle in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, comprises: an input part which receives current driving state information detected by a detecting device when straight line motion is braked by a straight line braking stability device; a determination part which determines whether a current braking pressure value of a wheel that is not braked by the straight line braking stability device among inputted current driving state information is not within the range of target braking pressure values; a driving part which drives a braking device for compensation by falling a current braking torque value corresponding to the current braking pressure value within the range of target braking pressure values corresponding to the range of the target braking pressure values; and a control part which receives the current driving state information, transfers determination instructions to the determination part, and transfers driving instructions to the driving part. |
