Provided is a compound used to detect cyanide, which has high selectivity and sensitivity for cyanide. The present invention relates to a compound used to detect cyanide, and to a manufacturing method thereof, and more specifically, to a compound used to detect cyanide, which is a compound represented by chemical formula 1 or an isomer thereof, and to a manufacturing method of the compound. In the chemical formula 1, R^1, R^3, R^4, n and q^(-) are the same as defined in claim 1. The manufacturing method of a compound used to detect cyanide comprises the following steps: mixing n-butyl alcohol and a compound represented by chemical formula 2 to obtain a mixture; adding sulfonate (R^2-SO_3H) to the mixture to synthesize a pyrylium compound represented by chemical formula 3; and performing a reaction between the pyrylium compound, an acid anhydride, and an amide compound represented by chemical formula 4. |
