Elimination of Light leak at and around the end plate and elimination of visible I.P. gaskets in extruded Linear lighting systems

The disclosed end plate system comprises of an inner sleeve (2) that is inserted into an outer extruded aluminium light housing (1) and an outer cover that provides a clean aesthetic. The inner sleeve provides an area that allows the expansion of the diffuser (4) to occur without being able to see the visual disturbance of light escaping the luminaire through the gap. The inner sleeve also conceals the optional IP gasket and provides a means to maintain extrusion opening tolerance through alignment pins and screws that are then concealed by the outer cover. The inner sleeve is partially inserted into the extrusion and is shaped in such a way as to provide a method of preventing light from escaping from and around the end plate in any direction. /ZZZZZZ //////,//
