A method of supervisory control on a game console, comprises the steps of setting, at a remote device (1020, fig 2), at least a first usage control parameter for at least a first account associated with access to content on a class of entertainment devices s210; monitoring, at an entertainment device (10) of that class, which account or accounts are active on the entertainment device s220; obtaining, at the entertainment device, the at least first usage control parameter set for the at least first account s230; and restricting usage of content on the entertainment device responsive to the at least first usage control parameter s240. The system may monitor each account using a shared content and restricting the content based on the most restrictive account. The parental control parameters may be stores on a push server (1010) online via the internet (1030). |
