EXHAUST GAS COOLER FOR MELTING FURNACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas cooler for a melting furnace capable of suppressing exhausting of dioxins by quenching an exhaust gas generated from a melting furnace in a small space, preventing adhering and depositing of molten salt and the like on a wall surface of a duct and surely preventing a clogging of the duct. SOLUTION: The exhaust gas cooler for the melting furnace 1 is provided in a coupling duct 6 for coupling a secondary combustion chamber 4 in which the exhaust gas 2 generated from the furnace 1 is introduced to a gas cooling tower 5 of a downstream side. The exhaust gas cooler comprises an orthogonal nozzle stage 17 provided at the upstream side of the duct 6 to blow cooling air 16 in a direction perpendicular to a main flow of the gas 2, and at least one tangential nozzle stage 18 provided at the downstream side of the duct 6 to blow the cooling air 16 in a tangential direction.
