PURPOSE: A display device is provided to reduce the power consumption of a display device by controlling a part of a gate line or a part of a data line to be driven according to a request. CONSTITUTION: Multiple gate lines are spread on an insulating substrate in a first direction. Multiple data lines are insulated with the multiple gate lines for intersecting. A gate driving part applies gate on voltage(Von) to the multiple gate lines. The gate driving part in a left side sequentially applies the gate on voltage, which is synchronized with clock signals(CK1, CKB1), to the gate lines of odd numbers. The gate driving part in a right side sequentially applies the gate on voltage, which is synchronized with clock signals(CK2, CKB2), to the gate lines of even numbers. A data driving part applies data voltage to the multiple data lines. The gate driving part has a first mode and a second mode. The first mode applies the gate on voltage to the entire multiple gate lines. The second mode applies the gate on voltage to a part of gate lines. The second mode maintains rest gate line in an off state.
