<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generating device and the like capable of improving the motivation of a player by giving a novel attraction to a competitive race in which the player participates. <P>SOLUTION: Before starting a race, a drive simulation part 203 calculates the odds of respective vehicles participating in the race. An odds calculation part 204 calculates the odds for every vehicle based on simulated lap time or the like. An image generating part 205 generates and displays an image of an odds table from the calculated odds. When race starts, a race state management part 206 manages the traveling states of the whole participation vehicles and, when the race is finished, a race result management part 208 determines the winning/failure of the vehicle operated by the player. When the player's vehicle wins, a race point is calculated based on the odds and the like of the vehicle.
