An image displaying device and a method for operating the same are provided to facilitate the check of reservation information regardless of the number of reservation programs by classifying broadcasting programs reserved by a user according to specific references. A tuner unit(110) receives broadcasting signals. A demultiplexing unit(120) extracts electronic program guide information from the received broadcasting signals. A user input unit(180) receives broadcasting reservation request signals from a user. A controller(190) classifies broadcasting programs corresponding to the broadcasting reservation request signals according to predetermined references, and generates reservation information by reference. A display unit(160) displays the reservation information by references.
