<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector improved in contact reliability of a card detecting switch mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The card connector is provided with a box-shape housing 11 with a card insertion port 10 at the front side face, a slide member 50 which is arranged in a housing 11 and moves in front and rear direction together with a card inserted in the housing 11 from the card insertion port 10, and a card detecting switch mechanism 90. The card detecting switch mechanism 90 is constituted of a movable contact 91 installed in the housing 11 and a mating contact 92, and the movable contact 91 displaces in perpendicular direction to the moving direction of the slide member 50 by the movement of the slide member 50 accompanying the insertion of the card, and contacts the mating contact 92. The movable contact 91 is provided with a sliding contact part 91f to slide after contacting the mating contact 92 and an abutting contact part 91g to abut and contact the mating contact 92 while the sliding contact part 91f is in contact, and contacts the mating contact 92 at two contacts of a sliding contact type and an abutting contact type. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
