<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assist photographing by a user to allow photographing suitable for a main subject. <P>SOLUTION: A digital camera comprises an image acquiring part for acquiring an image containing a main subject, and a photographing assist which assists photographing with the digital camera. The photographing assist comprises an actual lighting condition specifier which specifies actual lighting condition of the main subject based on the position of the digital camera, orientation of it, and a current time; and a main subject specifier which specifies a kind of the main subject contained in the image by analyzing the image. A recommended lighting condition deciding part decides a recommended lighting condition suitable for photographing the main subject based on the kind of the main subject that is specified by the main subject specifier. A notifier in the photographing assist notifies a user of the digital camera of a recommended lighting condition that is different from the actual lighting condition, if the recommended lighting condition contains a lighting condition different from the actual lighting condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
