PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix substrate wherein yield is enhanced while display quality is enhanced.

SOLUTION: Island-shaped parts 31c of each colored layer 23C forming a part of a sub pixel 5c are formed continuously at parts between pixels 5 and 5 adjacent to each other. Since the area of the island-shaped parts 31c can be secured even when the size of the pixel 5 is made small for high definition and the like and peeling of the island-shaped part 31c during formation of a color filter layer generated with fineness of the island-shaped part 31c can be suppressed, yield can be enhanced while display quality is enhanced.
