PROCESS FOR FLAVONOIDS RADIOLABELING AND ITS APPLICATION ON IN VIVO DIAGNOSIS OF BRAIN MALFUNCTIONS RELATED TO BENZODIAZEPINE RECEIVING SITES

"Process for flavonoids radiolabeling and its application on in vivo diagnosis of brain malfunctions related to benzodiazepine receiving sites", comprising a study related to radiochemical development of radiolabeled flavonoids and in vivo application as brain imaging agents related to benzodiazepine receiving sites, with the use of tomographic techniques; on said process flavonoids labeling via aromatic electrophilic substitution and radiolabeled flavone biodistribution in Swiss mice have been studied. The results show high concentration of the radiotracer in brain, mainly up to 30 minutes after the radiocompound injection, compatible with clinical use of this agent for performing diagnosing images and having great potential for application in nuclear medicine.
