The drill bit (100) is specifically designed for creating tapped holes (202) through the trunk of living trees (200), particular tapped holes (202) for harvesting sap having a high sugar content. With the drill bit (100), each tapped hole (202) can be made quickly, with less physical effort from the operator and using less electric energy from the drill battery. Wood shavings are more easily coming out of the hole (202) during the drilling process and the tapped hole (202) can now be created by a single insertion of the drill bit (100). This helps improving the quality of tapped holes in living trees, thereby improving sap production and the tree health. |
