The invention relates to a saw device having a feed axis (16) for a workpiece (160) to be sawed, comprising a first saw unit (32) for sawing the workpiece in a first sawing plane (76) extending transverse to the feed axis and a second saw unit (36) for sawing the workpiece in a second sawing plane (96) extending transverse to the feed axis, having a center device area (152) disposed between the sawing planes (76, 96), having a front device area (154) disposed in front of the first sawing plane as seen in a feed direction, and having a rear device area disposed behind the second sawing plane viewed in the feed direction. In order to improve said saw device so that the highest potential cutting power can be achieved, the invention proposes that the saw device (10) comprise at least two transport devices (30, 34, 38) disposed in different device areas for transporting different workpiece segments (164, 166, 168) along the feed axis. |
