PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat resistant hose low in cost and excelling in heat resistance without impairing flexibility, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The outer surface of a flexible hose having one or more constituent layers using at least one of rubber and resin as material is dipped in a liquid composition containing (A) metal alkoxide and (B) polydimethylsiloxane having a functional group that can react on (A) metal alkoxide, as essential components, and dried at an ordinary temperature or heat-treated to form a heat resistant layer comprising the liquid composition.
