PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate problems that it is necessary to hold a separation space at a prescribed distance between the tip of a first separation shelf (grain sieve) and a first returning shelf and the interval is narrowed to readily clog materials to be treated when returning shelves in several stages are installed in the prescribed separation space and to improve the first separating performance. SOLUTION: A shaking separation apparatus is composed by installing the first returning shelf (13) for receiving the materials which are leaked down from a shaking separation shelf (7) to be treated and dropping and guiding the materials to be treated to the side of a downward first transfer screw (16). The first returning shelf (13) is composed by arranging each of the sieve plates (13a and 13b) divided into a plurality of plates in the form of stairs at a prescribed interval kept in the vertical directions. Each of the plurality of sieve plates (13a and 13b) is composed so as to be shakable, openable and closable with one end side of the top and the bottom of each of the sieve plates (13a and 13b) as a fulcrum.
